yeah I have wires directly running from my subs to my crescendo amp. using 12 guage knukonceptz wiring. its around 1500 watts rms. never had a problem except one time it started to get so hot that it started burning the wood before when I had the bolt and turn ring on, that's when I removed the bolt and ran it directly, its not sealed but air barely comes out its not like a tiny bit of air escaping that u cant even feel 2 inches away is gonna make a difference in sound to be anywhere near noticible
