make shure you fold the rubber gasket over so you dont accidently puncture the cone.

Just screwing them in without doing this isnt a good idea

install the sub.

flip over the gasket( from the cone side, fold it over, your gonna have to use some force), make shure the holes are lined up, drill in a screw.

that way you can see if you hit the surround or not.

If you just drill in then your gonna mess something up

Never done this, and NEVER had a problem. Line the gasket up with the holes in the basket, mark on the box, remove driver, drill holes, run screws in then back out, reinstall driver, screw in screws with a screwdriver, done.

visualize :

you insttall the woofer.

you line up the gasket and the woofers holes.

Take the gasket in your finger tips, the cone side.

fold it back untll you can get a screw in there, through the basket and the gasket.

Screw it in.

then do the opposite side to keep the gasket from moving.

Do you get it now ?

yep i get it, so i fold the surround foam up so i can scew in the woofer holes without damaging the surround

You won't damage the surround unless you slip and puncture it, hence the predrilling and NOT using a cordless.

nah dude..way too much work..

can u see thru the holes right now? i mean, look at the sub...can u see thru all the holes? (like u put ur finger on the other side..can u see ur finger thru the holes?) if u can..ur set..if not...turn the rubber gasket until u can..

drop the sub in the box, mark ur holes..predrill...screw it down...that simple
