thx, I don't warrant any attention though.
The wire holders are for home electrical, in the electrical supply section of Home Depot. Lowe's doesn't carry them. I'm sure an electrical supply place does too. They are for the grounding strip inside breaker boxes. 1/4 bolts fit great. there is the same thing on the outside for accepting the wires from the amp. My new box has one set for each VC, to allow for wiring changes on the fly.
My work?? I'm no good. What you see is high density weather stripping stuff. The box I built requires you to screw on the lid to be able to get to the drivers, that stuff is used to seal it all. The gray area is actually my garage floor.
I will post pics soon of the new box. Nothing special, separate chamber 1.8^ each tuned to 30hz, all internal corners rounded, interior painted with wood hardener, exterior 'painted' with titebond, not a screw in it.
I use an app called itemizer 7.0 to make cutlists and have all pieces milled and ready to go when I show up. I get a sheet of good 3/4 mdf and milling done for about $50 total. I have a circular saw w/MDF blade, palm router w/quarter round and rabbett(sp) bits, decent jigsaw, a palm sander, and a rotozip w/circle cutter as my arsenal. I let the professionals cut/mill my cuts to ensure square and straightness.
