Illusion mids? I dont own any...

I cant complain. Nothing I have owned or heard has better mid-bass. Also they play very nice down to 35hz if I need them to, but then again I have a sub for that.

Oh and this is off of 75 watts per side. I cant imagine if I had ~150rms for them.

You cant compare 6.5" midbass drivers to 8's or 10's btw...not many can use them nor find them pratical.

As for the Scanspeaks, I still think the two are very easily comparable and the extremis are far cheaper.

I didnt like the Polys. They just didnt sound right...

The Revs were very nice, but really price wise and performance wise I cant justify them over the extremis. I like the XXX mids, but...well...I dont know how to describe them, I just liked the extremis better.

Extremis are 50hz to 250hz

Coustic DRs are 250hz to 4khz (or 6.3khz depending on tuning)

Hybrids are 4khz or 6.3khz

yep. going in my brothers car though.

those extremis sound awesome, i havent heard a better dedicated midbass driver myself either.

oh i did hear his extremis play down to 35hz with the epicenter. scary to hear such low notes off a 7"
