Dorm Setup

Hey guys i have an dell 5100 laptop and i want to hook my subs up to them or just get an el cheapo and hook it up to it thing in i have only an port for the mic and to listen to head phones. And what kind of converter would i need to be able to play my subs and how would the amp turn on etc....ps i did a search but i didnt find anything for an laptop so dont ***** about the search
