Is it possible to make a 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" baffle with a chamfer shown in this image

Yes it is, you simply need the correct router bit.

instead of making baffles. can i use MDF speaker rings... this pic is the frontdoor withan oem adapter

1-1/2" top mount depth.. new speakers are 3" so need a 1-1/2" baffle or hopefully just the rings
