So I figured I would tell my story even though the chick wasnt lying. I just started talking to this chick and she told me she had 3 12's in trunk that her friend from circuit city:laugh: hooked her up with and he installed everything. I had just finally put my system in that day so I said lemmie see what yours sound like. She turns it up and I laugh. She then says let me hear you're "1 10" . So she sits in my car and I crank up my Type R that I've got about 800 watts going to and her jaw drops when I play DJ Unk 2 Step and she realizes my 1 10" Type R was louder than her 3 12" Polks:laugh: Not to mention she had no ****in trunk cuz hers was in an RSX.

ca.com + well done research = complete OWNage of Circuit City.

P.S. I know its just a Type R and I'm already thinking about the next upgrade.

I keep my goldline 180 hand held SPL meter with me at all times for the explicit purpose of punking out people who come up to me and say their stereo puts up outragously high numbers with substandard equipment. This just reminds me of this kid at work who has 2 12'' sony explodes in his trunk. Walks around thinking he's the ish. He goes on saying....yeah i have 1500 + watt amp in there. I just roll my eyes. I ask him if his gain all the way up, he looks at me like huh. i had this guy tell me about a year ago how he had a Dodge Durango with 36 15" woofers in it and how he had to replace his windshield 6 times, and because the bass hit so hard he had to use a "Kicker" cassette deck because CD's skipped. mysteriously he also had 20 screens with a DVD player.....i laughed.....I asked him why the dvd player didnt skip and he STFU...

even if it is an amazing woofer in a 10 chambered box.. Blowing windows huh? at volume 8! no way!

It could be at volume 8 if he has it set on his hu, assuming he is an idiot he could have loud on, eqs amxed and so on. his Hu could also only reach like volume 20 too. not that i disagree its bs im just saying there are more things you need to factor in.

That wasn't complete ownage of Circuit City. She bought all of the stuff. Her friend from Circuit City just hooked it up. As long as it worked he did his part. Those Polk subs hit pretty hard. If she did her research like you did, this story would have turned around.

I also hate asking people what kind of amp they have because they all just say the number on the box, like "It's a 1500 watt amp..." when I know it's probably some Sony Explod that really gives you 400...It's like, you wanna ask them "at what ohm load?" but you know they'll just stare blankly at you...

then when you try to explain it to them that they are only getting 400w..they get pissed and say..IT SAYS 1500 ON THE ****IN AMP SHITHEAD!! ITS 1500!!!!
