alright first off im wanting to put in an underground invisible dog fence this weekend. has anyone used a lawn edger for this? i think i can get it 2-3inches deep.

2nd question

**** dog keeps jumping on the couch when some pulls in the driveway or when he hears something. and i live in town to this is quite often. is there something i can put on the couch to deter him from getting on it, but also wont hurt the couch?

I knew a guy for a year, Over at his place all the time. Then one day I see he had a pack of coondogs in the barn. I asked him why I never heard them bark. He pointed next to the kennel and there was one of those thick leather straps you use to sharpen straight razors.

Getting a dog to not do something is easy. All you have to do is give a good hit, by the second or third time the dog won't do it again.

It doesn't take a dog long to learn it's not allowed on the couch..

Invisible fence? Can you give more details about it? I have no idea how that would work. Some sort of high pitched noise or something?

Good question. What I want to know is how do you make your dog stick by you when off a leash, and come when you call him. I see some people who have dogs who stick by their side when in public and don't wander. Other peoples dogs chase the mailman, or rodents into the woods no matter how loud you yell at them. I wanna be able to do this with my dog. He sticks close for the most part, but if there are other dogs/people/animals/cars he catches interest too, he'll bolt. I'm concerned about this because I'm close to a major highway, and I've heard too many horror stories of Fido getting squished by a truck because he wouldnt listen and stick by his owner.
