I'm planning on getting 2 brahma 12's. The box I want to make will have the subs upfiring with the following dimensions: 32x9hx15 deep. The box will be made of 3/4 MDF. From all the stuff I've read this should work well. Am I right?
Not according to this:that does sound a bit small..............
hmmmm... didn't know that. how is the smaller box spl? raised the tuning? Not according to this:

So the SPL should be decent and SQ should be good? Would a slightly bigger box make a difference?yeah, i've always heard that brahmas do pretty well in small sealed boxes.... Especially for sound quality..

Well, the bigger box wouldn't get as loud or be as "punchy", but would have better low frequency extention and be slightly more efficient. It's all about trade-offs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Right now you seem to be at a good "in between" point if you want decent SQL.So the SPL should be decent and SQ should be good? I see, that makes a lot of sense. But one more question, would it be safe for the sub to run say 1500 watts to it?Well, the bigger box wouldn't get as loud or be as "punchy", but would have better low frequency extention and be slightly more efficient. But remember, your car will have a huge impact on the frequency response as well............
To each one, or to the pair??would it be safe for the sub to run say 1500 watts to it?
