does lowering LPF change clip point?

gain is just matching voltage to head unit but does changing your LPF up and down change when the signal will clip?
no.

clipping is from your music or a non clean signal ( meaning cheap h/u ) or setting your gain to high .

all the lpf does it stops higher freq's from getting to your sub.

It can to some point as some frequencies can cause higher consumption of power. It all depends on the sub and amp.
