I have an old school Orion XTR 2150 amplifier (600x1 at 4ohm mono) that'll be pushing a single JL 12W6.

In this configuration the amp will see a 3ohm mono load...is that the equivalent of 1.5ohm stereo??

Also will the amp be able to live with the 3ohm mono load (I heard the older Orions are durable)??

Thanks

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.
