I hate to say it but , most the people who have a daily driver dont have the equiptment to compete at the national level . If they compete in bassrace anyone who has control of there stereo has a chance of winning , but in DbDrag i have only seen a select few setups on this website that can compete on that level ! I for one would have got my ace handed to me at nationals if a few competitors showed up , but since they didnt Ill take the national trophy jacket with pride . I compete all year long to hang out with local competitors that i consider good freinds , that truely what its all about at shows up here in Wi. !!!!!!!!!!

Like who? lol

I have been to about 10 shows a year since 1995.

Mostly SPL and moslty dB Drag.

I am a true competition addict and will never quit.

I love seeing new guys come out with passion and vision, their spark keeps things interesting.

So what's the point of the thread?

I actually am looking at just those guys that have the daily drivers, and would compete at a local show or regional, even if they know they can't win. I used to race motocross and I never really had a chance at winning even in my class, but the fun I had and the couple times I got a 2nd or 3rd place were unforgetable. The competition is awesome, and when you compete especially at the local level is great because you actually have guys that you set your sites on and you make goal to take them down, even if it isn't for the trophies. You get better and better, learn more about the rules which allow you to focus on what you can afford. I have seen low budget systems go pretty far, because they didn't bite off more than they could chew;)

Like who? lol
Scottie to hottie , Bob Perillo , Steve Cook for starters ........... In my class a 64.7 would be about 4th to 5th on average !//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Exactly that, to see if we can spark the ones who are on the edge to compete, and those who never thought they would, get then to consider it. Our "sport, hobby or industry" needs some invigorating.

Personally, I want to get all the info I can to try to get a deeper intrest in car audio in my region, partially through local sound offs. (now there is an old school term!)

Folks like this get eaten up in this region ! Ive seen people get better and better but always on the receiving end of an ace wippin up here in Wi. For the competitors who are around here they know that the competiton is thick in this neck of the woods , and its the competitors that keep the newbies comin around with all the knowledge to help them get better , and we have the best promoter and judge in the world in Jeremy Webber !

Thats good, at least you are doing your research.

I myself am designing my own new format. We tried it at the last dB Drag in Maryland and it worked well. After some tweaking I want to try and get it incorporated into the db Drag lineup. It is designed to bring excitment and interest back into the hobby and expel all the politics and drama.

I would love to be inlightened, If you would share your thoughts;)
