I see no point in competing really, ya you get to see your scores but like grandprix said i just do it for daily drivin and my own car audio addiction:D
The socializing, the fact that you put your skills to measure, supporting the growth of our hobby and industry.

You'd need equipment in order to compete, hahahahahaha:p:

I"ve competed in MECA in 2007, took 2008 off except for one USACI event. Its so much fun, if you're open to talk to other competitors you can make some good helpful friends. Everyone's usually nice. The seasoned vets usually take all the 1st place trophies, but for me its not always about winning anymore so that's no big deal.

 
I competed in Texas Bass Productions this last year, and attended a few USACI shows as well(just spectating though). All in all, I went to probably 25 shows last year, but only competed in maybe 7-8 since I already had enough points for finals after that. It's a lot of fun just to hang out and shoot the breeze with other hobbyists. I've met some really cool people at the shows...
