Do these box calculations sound right?

Im building a box for a 18" BL. I designed this box on the RE website, but for some reason it just doesnt seem right to me. It a L-ported box.

W=40" H=19" D=26"

port height=17.5"

port width=7"

port length 1=18.25" (long part on L)

port length 2=7" (little part on L)

box vol= 7 cubic feet

tune freq=32

Should i go with this box or is it wrong?

It's actually very close. It doesn't take into consideration sub displacement so the net volume is actually closer to 6.8 cubes and the tuning frequency is just about 33hz. I would definitely brace that enclosure though as it will not be very sturdy with a sub like that and only using 3/4" MDF.

Yeah i definitely need some bracing, probably a double baffle also.

Do you know of any good links on how to properly brace a box?
