do subs hit louder on hiphop?

That's too bad. You still won't hear this type of music on my setup... no matter how hot she looks. I'll turn off the music and kick her out of the car if she tries it. Country music is the only genre of music I can't stand. Oh well, such is life. You can find a ton of low end in almost anything. Even in classical or opratic musical compilations.
alternative christian music here! blegh

yeah i would never listen to country either...even if i played that in my car..i would never blast it so ppl look at me

Hiphop does hit harder, they use all computer generated bass notes no real musical instruments, hence the lack of real talent.......

Rap is bass, and foul language of course...........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

There are a few bright moments here and there but for the most part I find it to be

quite repetitive and unoriginal

R-A-P!!! Rap!

well it DOES take talent to mix and fade the instruments/samples from other music and create a beat to accompany the melody ANT, 9th Wonder, Abilites, Brock? lol all good producers with talent, you just like stated in another thread, haveta weed through all the crap.

i blast whatever i feel like, and i get some weird looks doing it. i have a lot of rap, but i'll bump stuff like widespread panic, particle, phish, mozart, beethoven, pink floyd, creedence, sublime, tool, whatever i want to hear, screw everyone else.

and yea country slams but i hate the singing. whiny *** dudes.

i always seperated rap and hip-hop as two types of genres. rap being the typical foul and offensive language with crap talent artists and hiphop with respectable artists like mos def, jurrasic* 5, the gorillaz, etc.

but in general, i would agree rap music has more/heavier bass notes compared to other music genres.

i saw rap is mostly mainstream stuff..like 50, lil jon n all that...hiphop is more underground with gangstarr the roots..etc...

but i listen to both

Yep, pretty much the only reason I listen to rap is for the bass. Lol just the other day a buddy of mine was complaining that he couldn't hear the vocals while we were listening to Young Jeezy because he was sitting in the back seat and the bass was loud as hell (and no rear speakers either, just front stage). I just told him to stfu bcuz it was Young Jeezy and the lyrics are about as unoriginal as it gets...lol.

yeah most of the time rap is recorded with a so called "bass boost". THat is why i say there is no SQ in rap. Cus the low end will always over power the front stage.
