do i solder the crimp speaker connectors as well?

Hi,

After crimping the terminals onto the speaker wire, should i put solder on the terminal and wire as well? If the soler has lead in it, is that a bad thing?

You could always solder it if you really wanted to make sure of a solid connection...and lead/rosin core solder is standard for most electronics work.

Hello,

I would *solder* the speakerwire to a *non~insulated* female spade,then use shrink tubing.......or Solder the Speaker wire direct to the speaker + and - tabs,than shrink wrap it.That' "my" opinion.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif .Good Luck.

I use T-Taps for Car Alarm installs and Speaker installs. Saves a load of time and and in my opinion more reliable than crimping.
