Do I need two runs of 1/0 guage wires straight to the amp?

I am running a Crescendo BC3500D at 0.5 ohm and I was told to run two 1/0 gauge wires to the amp with dual input adapters for more more power. Now my question is, since my HC3800 battery is basically right next to the amp (uses 2ft of wire from battery to the amp), can I just run both the 1/0 gauge wires straight to the battery + and then just have ONE run of 1/0 from that battery to the amp??

Will I still get the full affect as having two 1/0 runs directly on the amp?

you dont have to if you dont want to. mines the same way. the wire from batt to amp in my truck is like 1.5ft and im wired to 1ohm. with that short of a wire i dont see why you would need it. i mean it couldnt hurt but its not a must
