Do I need to upgrade my electrical system?

I am running 2 12" RE SX's with 2 bx1500d's. My only electrical upgrade is a lightning audio high output battery which is similar to a yellow top optima. Do i need to upgrade my electrical system to run this? if so what do i need to do and how much will it cost. thanks in advance

well u don't if u are replacing it for your stock battery but u are prob goin to have to do the big 3 and a high output alt.

it is running 1/0 gauge wire from batt to ground ..then alt to ground... then pos of batt to pos of alt but don't take out factory wire.

exactly what does that do? also what are your thoughts on getting a cap on this situation?

It's as much about making sure you have good, clean connections on all your factory grounds as it is about having giant ground wires. Unless you have 10' factory wires 4 ga should be plenty. Basically it reduces any unnecessary voltage drop through the charging system ground circuit.
