Here is my current system. 3 amps including a hifonics bxi 1606 but I will have the hifonics 2407 shortly. Im running 2 pioneer subs 1000w rms each. At present, it sounds excellent but I want to push more power to my subs so will be putting the above amp in.

Can I just do the BIG 3 and upgrage my alternator & be done.

At present, the lights dim very slightly if u really push it you would'nt really notice but should I do the above or can I leave it as is or one or the other, cheers

Thanx for the advise guys, I appreciate it. cpl more questions, Will there be a big difference in power from the hifonics 1606 to the 2407 which is 2600w rms even tho its a bit overated so they say and what type of battery should I get, just a better standard upgrade or a special one please. Thanx

you will notice the difference on the amps, and so will your electric. 2500 rms is alot of power. I run about 1000 rms with no big three stock Alt n a battery in the back. So expect to buy a good battery for the back and maybe a new one up front, you might be able to get away with just charging it. But the big 3 and battery in the back is a must.

I was just hoping to use 1 good battery. would that not be ok with the big 3 and alternator upgrade?

Like everyone is saying. Do the big three and then just upgrade your main car battery to an optima yellow top. All your problems will go away probably.

Ok thanx again. I will arrange and get the big 3 done 1st then source a yellow top or similar

cool setup, as for the question i myself would wait i found out that doing the big 3 does help. i myself have 2 pretty good batteries plus an isolator just in case(all ogage of course) i think with that you should be good for now

Regarding the BIG 3. Do I just add the 0 awg wire as I dont really want to be removing anything ?

And also, I want to buy this battery.

I currently have the standard one in the boot at present and want to add this one as well for definate.

Question is, can I just wire them in parallel, plus to plus , minus to minus ? Is that correct as I dont want to be using any split charging etc. Thanx for any input
