do I need to rewire my car?

I recently installed all component speakers in my car and a touch screen deck. When i installed them, the installer asked if i would be getting subs anytime soon, because if i was he would just install 0 gauge wires. He did this and now i bought two 10's... does this mean that he can somehow use the wires he already installed for the amp that goes to my components? or will i have to still rewire?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

distribution block and thats it.
OR you can do it the ghetto way, and just stuff another power wire into your amps 12v input and run that to the mono amp.

..wouldnt do that though.
Why would you even suggest that? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

LOL, because the other day I was helping my friend install a second amp to his car, just like this guy. and i told him he would need a d block and then we could continue with install.

next day he comes back and he says "i didnt need one of those things! check this out! its cool i got it, look:..."

so i look... and he had been told by someone, that this was the best way to do it.

i tried not to laugh, and i told him, that i would not suggest him doing that.

..he did anyways. and about a week later he got his system jacked anyways.

What kind of dblock will I need? And what else would I need for the install? The first amp is already installed and hooked up to the 0gauge wires. All I have is the amp mounted on the box for the two tens. Any certain kind of wiring from the amp to the subs? And do I need to buy more 0gauge to go from the d block tithe new amp?

Any distribution block will do, as long as it fits 0 gauge wire. and you might as well get one with a few distribution "holes" in case you need it later on.

just hook up the distribution block to the 0 gauge that is already ran and from there you will need some more 0 guage to run to the speaker amp and the subwoofer amp. you can probably cut the 0 guage you already have ran and connect the distribution block at a shorter end than where it s now, and use the rest to hook up one amp. or just buy a few more feet of 0-4 gauge (depending on what fits to your amps) and distribute the power to the two amps. youl need to ground the new amp also, so might as well get a good length of wire that will be sufficient.
