So i made the mistake of ordering the nvx sound dampening without the rubber roller. I figured i could by one at walmart or something. Well i cant find this **** roller anywhere. Not at walmart, michaels, tractor supply, ace hardware, or any other hardware store. I have checked everywhere and sonic electronics and other online sites are the only place that has one. Do i absolutly need this roller to apply the sound dampening or can i do it by hand? BEcause my trunk is torn to pieces and i really dont want to keep it that way till next week when i can order a roller.

In a pinch cut a 2x4 into a 4 inch block, use the corner to press it in by sliding it across.

A carpet stair tool works pretty good, pretty much anything that is not sharp, flat and can apply pressure with evenly..... Fug a can of peas could work

i use a hard plastic roller for wallpaper works great cost 2 bucks..u can get em at lowes or home depot

No, you don't need a roller. Just clean off the area you're applying the sound dampening and apply it by hand. I used the butt end of the utility knife I used to cut it to press it down a little bit more.

Depends on how sticky the deadener is but I did most of mine by hand. You'll know if it's on well or not.

Any roller will work just try to find the smallest one to fit into tight spaces

I did all mine by hand and its fine. I actually found that it was easier than a roller, especially because a car's inner surfaces aren't always completely flat. Good luck, it'll take a while for sure. Results are well worth it.
