Do I need an eq?

I have Alpine 9835 and it has a good built in eq however i don't like messing around with the buttons trying to eq my music on the deck, its a pain in the ***, so i got a Audiocontrol 4.1 and love it, easier to adjust than my deck eq and to me it sounds better plus the added line driver is nice too. Just remember with eq's you shouldn't boost, you should use it to cut.

got a 5 band parametric or 6 band graphic on my deck and don't use either , the defeat switch stays on. LOL. Just sounds better to me. Once i get my front stage a little more respectable i will sit down and really tinker with the EQ.
