Probably a combination of lower tuning, amp not getting power it needs (ground) and gains to high. Remember too are own **** is never loud lol we get used to it ! Mine never seems loud either,152.6 but I still dont think its loud.

I do think i tuned my box lower than i probably should have....when i decide to get a second Zv5 18 (its happening....its just a matter of when lol) ill probably have the box tuned to 34 HZ or so. But i do think that theres something wrong...when i first had the system up and running i wasnt really blown away by the difference from my SA15 on 450w and that has me convined im doing something wrong. As i said i think ill recird a video of the whole install and post in in this thread so you guys can see exactly what ive got going on

Actually not **** subs, hes running two DD12s on a Zues 3200. Stock alt and a D3400 in the back. Seems like his and mine are on two different levels though

The box for my 18 was done by CherryManCustoms. Its 7ft^3 net tuned at 30HZ

In a blazer yeah that thing should make that rear hatch window vibrate like crazy. Small SUV, should get loud.

My $$ is on that ground...and the amp isn't liking it.

might need to mess with the subsonic and lpf depending on the capabilities of the box

simple things like adding 1/0 grounds make a bigger difference the higher you get in current draw. not a lot of effort or cost to get your amp a better source of power. 11s are fine depending on the amp and how stable it is at 11

Im gonna have ti agree with you on this. Like i said ill post a video tomorrow of the setup and see what you guys think. I think its the ground.

Keep us posted. Curious to see how this issue ends...and if we've helped out or not.

Also...looks like that amp accepts 1/0 gauge wiring. I hope that's what your using and nothing smaller.

Helpful hint: And to anyone else reading this, if the power wire is getting warm, means the gauge wire isn't thick enough. It's too small.

You definitely want an additional battery for that amp.

I prefer seat belt bolts for grounds.
