Do I need a relay?

hey guys just doing my system soon and am wondering if it's worth getting a relay for my remote wire.

I'll be running my Alpine PDX-F4/Sundown SAZ-2000D/Stinger SVMB volt meter off the remote wire. I havne't installed the volt meter yet. I'm just wondering if it's worth getting a relay or should my headunit be fine without one? I just don't want to stress it too much.

Currently looking at this: CE Auto Electric Supply - Turn-On Relay Kits the second one. It looks professional and has some great reviews plus I get a 10% discount for being apart of SMD forums!

It should be fine but if you get turn on pop add a relay.

You won't need a relay for just two amps and a volt meter but if you do buy a relay, you can accomplish the same thing from Parts Express for $4.54.

Yea, a $5 relay from parts express or ebay would be fine.

SMD is a load of sh*t. Tou don't need to buy a $17+ relay, haha (even with a 10% discount)

I wired in the parts express relay on mine, for amp & fans. Its easy and works fine.

The CE relays are nice imo, already wired up to make your install as clean as possible. If you want to save a few bucks, any SPDT relay will work.

they aren't $17+ nice. all it is, is a relay, an inline fuse and a couple pieces of wire. $7 total.

And if you want to get the terminal strip, another $1

I have a relay on 2 amps an amp fan leds for front and getting ready to put a DSP on it too
