Do I need a HO alt or will big 3 surfice?

So I recently bought two Pioneer TS-W3003D4's, which I had planned on running at 600 RMS each @ 1 OHM off of a GM-D9601 at 1200 watts. I am still fairly new to the whole car audio scene, so I made sure to do a crap ton of research before making my purchases, but I didn't even consider my alt..

I currently drive a 2000 Malibu, running a 105 A alt. This car isn't exactly worth putting more parts and money into than I really need, and I'd rather not spend a few hundred on an HO alt for a car I won't have for longer than another year or two.

Would I be able to get away with a 105 A alt running a 1200 watt system with the big 3 upgrade?

I realize this is probably a stupid question, but I'm honestly stumped. :/

Doing the big 3 alone should be fine. Your not running much power.

Even on a stock alt? I'm not 100% sure it's 105 amp, it could honestly be less.

Just because you have a 1200 watt amp doesn't mean your gonna run that much power. You'll never see that much. Maybe 75% of it.

Just don't be stupid and distort the hell out of things. Set gain properly and should be ok.

i would replace your front battery with a decent agm and do the big 3. you will be fine

My Honda CRV I believe is a 90 amp alt/stock if that..I have an agm under the hood with another in rear tire well and grounded with 2ga@ axle big3 in 2ga,with ELD Bypass thanks to keep_hope_alive,Running 1500-1750 RMS@2ohms on substage,2 ohms up front of approx 125 rms x2, and 20x2 on rears,,doesnt feel taxed at all/does just fine all day long.As stated..You should be fine with at the least a good AGM batt under the hood/and decent supply wiring to the amp/amps, and an excellent ground for your power needs and you should be just fine with Big3
