Like I said....just try it at 8ohms with your current amp.

It may be enough for you.

The impedance doesn't really affect anything with the sound quality.

I thought i saw a thread not too long ago about 4ohm subs vs. 8 ohm subs, andsomehow sq got thrown in there like generally 8 ohm subs have better sq or something like that

No, 8ohm subs don't sound better than 4ohm subs. The impedance doesn't affect the sound quality at all.

Someone may have said it does....but they are mistaken

I have a MTX 1501d pushing my type x and it sounds great. You have a nice sub. Don't let it go to waste by putting a crappy amp on it. Like Squeak said try it with the amp you have. If not good enough sell it and up-grade. Wa-La! you will now have a good SQ set-up.

HAHAHAHA ... thats a good one.. no really. Ive gotten ONE offer on the amp, and he said, and i quote "200 shipped".

200 bucks is chump change when youre looking for a good amp.

Now this isnt a super high spl rock your socks amp, but i think its worth more than that. This is a very good amp for SQ junkies like me, provided you have the right VC configuration. Hell, come to think of it, it was gettin ****IN loud with my 2 old 12's... and that was in a trunk car! it even cracked one of my tail lights. It used to be standard issue for people to lay on my back glass and trunk while high as hell with music bumpin cuz it would vibrate the whole car... lol i remember one time, one of my freinds was like, "wow, thats a lot of vibration... can i hump your fender?" i told him no but he did it anyway.
