Do i need a cap?

Well i have a 500 watt mono block amp and 1 12" Type R sub. The lights dont dim or nething, maybe a sligt dim at night wit the headlights on. I was wondering if i put a 1 farad cap in if it would give my amp more watts and help it pump out more sound? Would it b worth it? Thanks guys

why do you want to change amps? 500W RMS should be sufficient for a type R, no?

well how good are bazooka amps? I mean it sounds distorted and i gotta turn up the gains jus to make it sound half as loud. I dont like the amp at all but i was given it so thats what i have for now. Its 350 rms says the box but sites say 500 so id unno what to go buy. I just want a nice clean amp to power it to its full potential. What kinda amp or wattage would u reccomend?

what kind os specs do you need?

500watts RMS @ 1,2, or 4ohm?

Im powering at 2 ohms in a 1.25 cu/ft sealed enclosure

Try a JL 500.1

One this amp it does not matter what ohm load you have it will still do 500 rms. JL amps are also designed by the same people that designed the JL amps.

i say JL amps look good, performs well...but costs a lot, dont't hink it will fit under $300 for a 500/1

Sorry I meant to say that JL amps are designed by the same people who designed Xtant amps....
