Do I need 4ohm or 2 ohm subs to wire down to 1ohm?

I am looking at getting 2 12" type r's and I am not sure if I need to get the 4ohm or 2 ohm to wire them both down to 1ohm. Can you guys help me out here? I am thinking about geeting this amp

two dual 4 ohm subs can be wired to 1 ohm and 2 single 2 ohm subs can be wired to 1 ohm. i dont know much about the type r's but if they only come in svc's then get the single 2 ohm's.

They come in dual 4 get those and wire to 1

Ok thanks, I understand now I need two 4ohms to wire down to 1ohm to get that best out of that hifonics 1608d. Thanks
