Do i really need a second battery? Alt is 90 amp

The car used to have 4 gauge running about 900rms to 2 12's when i got it

without the big three done on a small factory battery and i never had any trouble except a little dimming but very little.

Try it with just the one, if that isn't enough, get a second. It'll probably be close.

I would think you would need another, or an alt upgrade. That 90A alt is probably 70% used by the car's stock electrical. The remaining 30% (30A) is all you have left to power your audio. That is only good for about 350W RMS give or take. Now that starting battery you have will help some, but not for long. The 115 min reserve is rather small. Yes it can put out 950CA, but it can only support 25A for 115 mins. That means if your audio pulls a grand total of 55A (625W RMS), even with your alt going full tilt (90A), you will run that battery dry in under 2 hours of use. That is not taking in consideration any starting of the car or the battery drawing any current itself.

Bottom line is that battery and alt combo is only good for about 500W RMS.
