DNX890 and Battery Drain

Hello,

Just got my Dnx890 installed by authorized dealer. I noticed something strange;

My vehicle sputters (as if the battery is almost drained) when I restart my car. We checked all accessories including lights to ensure we we didn't leave anything on by mistake.

Then, I decided to turn the Dnx890 completely off when I turn off the car. On restart, the problem disappears, the car starts ok, and it is only then that I can turn back the Dnx890 on.

Note: this problem suddenly begun this evening when the weather turned really cold - I'm in Philly area.

Any ideas what might be happening ?

The radio shouldn't be staying on when the car is off, if that's what you're saying... You're a little confusing with how you worded everything

Yes, I know it sounds confusing... but that is what I noticed ... turning off the unit before turning the car off resolves the problem on restart....

So, is the radio staying on when you turn the car off? If so the installer didn't wire it correctly.

Nope the unit turns off .. ..
