Hi, new here...
If I buy a DLS A3 amp (spec says 1200w bridged into 1 ohm) then am I correct in assuming that the lowest OHM speaker I should buy is a 4 Ohm Dual voice coil.
From what I can tell, there is something other than ohms law that says if you parallel a 4 ohm dvc sub (which makes it 2 OHM's) and connect to a bridged stereo amp, this 2 ohms is seen as 1 ohm by the amp.
So My ultimate question is ...
If I buy a DLS A3 and a diamond audio D912D4 (dual 4 ohm) and wire in parallel, the amp will see it as 1 ohm and it will be feeding it 1200 watts rather than seeing it as 2 ohms and feeding it 870 watts?
Otherwise if I'm wrong then I should think of buying a D912D2 (dual 2 ohm).
TIA,
Peter.
