Distribution block for second amp

I currently have a 10ga wire running from my battery direct to a built-in amp in my hu (27wa RMS). I'm now going to add a second amp - Alpine MRV-F540 (4x80). Should I just connect an 8ga wire to the same terminal on the battery and run two wires through the firewall? Or should I run a 4 ga wire through the firewall to a distribution block in the cab - and then run power off of that?

Thanks,

Skimo

Run at least 4ga through the firewall and split it off once inside the cabin. The split should be nearest to the most current consuming device on that circuit. Run all grounds to the same place.
