dissapointed with this setup!! very angry..

Mine likes low inputs
I've experienced with several Hifonics amps from TXI to the XX/XXV and all of them required me to turn up the gain much higher than most other amps ive had.

Txi 1008 , Bxi 1606, Bxi 2006, XX-Hercules, and the XXV Colossus.

With my zx2500, RF T20001, and Sundown, my gain was usually set at 1/4th.

And these amps were all used with Alpine HUs.

I use Alpine Head Units too.

Bu the amps used are the Goliath and The Maxximus. Was using a line driver but voltage input was much too high. They seem to like 1.5 volts to 2.8 volts for me. I havent used the smaller Hifonics amps.

Ha ha, not at all. I like those guys.

Just stating that the amps I tested are a little different and I have not had the chance to test the other models.

Of course The setup will effect this as well. Battery voltage, ohm load, Box rise, power compression, etc....

Because I got a pair of BNIB 2008 15" L7s for $100, essentially $50 a piece. Zx2500 isn't stable to 1ohm, so I sold it. I also got another deal on a BNIB XXV colossus for $450 . Couldn't pass up these types of offers, so I jumped on them and then swapped those L7s for dual 2ohm.
For the 1948462352748573562 time the zx2500 is stable at 1ohm I have ran mine daily for over 2 years at .7ohm and have ran them at .5 however at .5 they are very tempermental.

I should have said, it was not stable @ 1ohm in my situation because i didn't have the proper electrical to back it up......

You are going to slowly kill your Hifonics mounting it to sub box. Board vibrates and brakes a mosfets leads. Most common problem with these amps.
