Discontinued RE SX... :(

id expect you to say that your very close to fi...i love aswell like i said ive owned 3 lines of their product...and ive plyed with sx's quite a bit now..
like I said as an unbiased bass head...its louder than a q but not as loud as a bl, and not quite as good sounding as a q but better sounding than a bl.

everyone is intitled to their opinion...ive had ALOT of powr running to my q and it didnt like it where *** i took the same amount of power tehn put it on my bl took it like a champ...now i got the sx itll take more power than the q but ill make it tap out close to what teh bl wanted...

the ssd is just not even in the same league as the sx different motor different handleing to me the ssd is in line with the se....
so now you're arguing for someone who works @ Fi, and builds the subs day in and day out, as well as Scott who owns Fi, who designed both the Sx and the SSD.

So heres the question moron, why wouldnt scott improve his design on an older sub and then continue to sell the improved version?

OH wait, he did.

I'm telling you from a design standpoint.
I know both subs inside, out, and backwards.

Now, for the last time.

SSD + Flatwire coil = Par with SX.

I'm not being biased, i'm being 100% factual with my claims...I have no reason at all to lie...

The SSD you heard and played with was probably with a copper coil, the flatwound coil makes a big difference in that motor....

It could come down to an argument of brand bias as well. I could build 9 subs that are the exact same and put 9 different brand names on them. Put you in a car and let you see only the brand name of every dustcap. You'll swear up and down that 1 is different and superior to another....even though they are all the same.

Just factual information...i've got no reason to sway anything. However i'm not going to let people make erroneous false claims when I am nothing short of correct. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
like i sad "NICK" ive played with the btl bl and Q and from MY tests that was my conclusion.....the motor structures are different from the ssd and the sx...double stacked vs 3 stacked... whatever you say though you work for fi and in the over 1 year since he sold re nothing has changed rite....you know it all huh....

i did actual tests what the hell have you done..

Hmmm, lets see.....

How about....he helped DESIGN the woofers.

And guess what, nothing on the SX HAS changed besides the fact that they are made overseas now instead of in the U.S. So in essense the older subs were BETTER, at least IMO.

Don't get into an argument with nick on subs. You WILL get your *** handed to you, but that's already happened and you just refuse to admit it.

a internet tuff guy stfu

have you owned all 4 woofers....

i am a fi fan....have been i was the first to get the 2nd version...i was the first to get a 12 in hawaii....ive plyed with all and my numbers show the sx closer to the bl and MY ear tells me the sound is closer to the q...now you **** off..and go **** nicks dick yor obviously a nut swinger for them...

he had to change the desig when he left re the subs were already patented does that mean he made them BETTER MAYBE....but why is it my installs show different results....

....but why is it my installs show different results....
Because your install is just that....YOUR install.

Nick even stated quite a ways back that it's impossible to say that one sub is DEFINITIVELY better than the other. Nick only state that the SSD COULD be on par with the SX given the right scenario.

And as a previous owner of an SX, I would have to agree. My SX was subpar in my setup and I preferred the sound and loudness of the SE over the SX. And the type-r was even louder than both of those.

look bottom line is the numbers speak for themselves...

the se specs are almost IDENTICAL to the ssd specs...

the sx specs are all different except for the piston area.......

so like I said the se is actually more closer to the ssd than the sx...

And like I just said, in my install the SE performed BETTER than my SX.....

Thus why I never base my opinions on specs. Just because one sub specs out better on paper doesn't me it will be the better performer.

Based off of specs would you say that a type-r should be OVER 2 dB louder than an SX? (and I think it sounded better too)

Based off of specs would you say that a type-r should be almost on par with a DD 9510F?

again if you got better number with type r's then im sorry your a shitty installer..

i have had lots of time to play all the subs i had tried different boxes and difffernt firing angles

love fi always have alway will but its just not so..

it is possible that nick is confusing the sx and the se..

its just so ironic the se has very similar numbers to the ssd while the sx is different.

whatever im happy as shit with my sx's and i will let my numbers do my bidding...

ha...ha.....HAHAHA

Go ahead and think i'm a shitty installer (I guess being a 4x champion in 2 different competition organizations doesn't mean much? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif ). The SX is a turd. Has been and always will be.

I'm sure my type-r setup would walk ALL OVER whatever you could come up with.
