Discontinued RE SX... :(

i went to this place like mobil car audio or something in columbus and the guy said RE is discontinuing the SX... i was pretty disapointed. i built my box specifically for it and i cant get one thats new. So.... im probably going to have to spend more money and get a FI BL 15" and make a new box with the right tuning. Does anyone know any good 15's that arent to expensive? Like under $300. i dont want to spend a whole lot of money on my set up.

Bro, if you had your heart set on the SX then don't let it discourage you. Get a motor, get a basket and recone that thing.

Or if you are incapable of that work, buy a motor and have it shipped to TeamPSI (forum member) and he will recone it and make it to your specifics for a reasonable price.

And voila, you have a brand new SX.

You will not be dissapointed, I have used the SX model in many applications for about three years now and I love them.

Yep. I think Teamh&k metioned in one of his classifieds ads that the SX were going to be discontinued. I thought is was just word of mouth but now you're saying they are really gone. I'm holding onto mine!

You misunderstood, he meant the SSD was a newer design. Although they are somewhat similar.

You wouldnt believe someone on ROE, but you would believe him here? I said that I was still looking for proof. The majority of the members whom I believe know their stuff would go with the ssd for it either being the new design or an upgraded sx altogether, whatever they say.

Not even in the same league..the Havoc is essentially a super beefed up Q.

The most common in retrospect is an SSD. Though every single woofer is different.
