Disappointed in sealed boxes

Hey guys, I am new here but have installed several systems.

I have a 02 GMC Sierra single cab and up until today, I had a MTX 10 in a slot ported box powered by my Kenwood mono amp at 300w RMS. I just installed 2 Kicker Comp 12's in sealed 1 cu ft. boxes. I went with sealed boxes for the lack of space I have and I thought they would sound clean. I am kinda disappointed. They are loud, but they aren't deep at all. All the systems I have installed have been ported, but they have also been in vehicles with alot of room.

Is there anything I can do to get make them sound deeper? I thought about Poly-fill in the boxes.

If I can't get it to work, I'll probably just send em back and go back to my 10. Its not as loud, but it was pretty deep and sounded good.

What kind of specs on the enclosure. May just be to small causing them to not drop as low as you would like. Poly-fill will help but to be honest it will only add a few hz levels past were they roll off at now.

This, probably too small a box or wrong woofer for sealed alignment. Keep in mind the port gives you a fair amount of gain down low so you do lose output on a good day.

Trying to look up the box specs right now... I am thinking they might be too small, like y'all said. I don't know how I could go bigger though, since I have pretty much no room as of right now.

EDIT: looking at other sealed truck boxes online, they range from .8 to 1.1. I don't see how .1 cu ft would make a that big of a difference

Are u using said 300 watts to push both these subs? They will prob take 500 to the pair. Porting seems to make a huge difference on the regular comps. Had 2 10s comp4 ohm sealed a freind had same subs same wattage amp but would outsound the sealed enclosure on all notes.

My amp is 300 Watts at 4 ohms and 500 at 2.

I feel pretty retarded... I had been messing with the amp trying to tune it and couldn't figure out why the filter was acting weird. I went to the settings in my head unit and it had reverted to a 200 Hz filter setting for the bass. I put it at 50 and these hit hard! Definitely deeper than my 10 and my buddy's 2 10's in a big ported box. Thanks for the help guys, and sorry I wasted your time on such a stupid issue.

Now I just have to figure out how to keep my subs from falling forward when I move the seat up. GM has this big hump in the rear of the cab.

I don't usually use bass boost. I set the gain the way I was taught by turning the system up to around 3/4 volume and then slowly increasing gain until just before it distorts.
