I just bought my first DD, and I don't know what motor it is, but I was curious what the different motors are for, I was wondering if it changed the specs or the abilities or what. Thanks

Slight variations only AFAIK. The recone you can use will vary based on which letter, but DD can tell if you take a couple pictures and send to them.

The letters are different variations in each model. Some of them were better then others, but for the most part each alteration was for the better.

If you pull the boot cover off the motor there should be a label with the model of the sub and what "letter" the motor is.

I bought it used, and the boot and label was already removed. I was just curious if any of the letters ****** lol

Well from the basket design comparison in a google search it appears to be a G. E and F have a 4spoke basket by the looks of it.
