Difficulty w/ connecting backup camera

Head unit is 2009 Pioneer AVIC Z110BT using a RP4GM11 adaptor.

Have cameras power an RCA video signals power both connected to the green reverse wire at tail light. 05 Chevy express 3500 van.

camera blk was grounded to body.

I’ve only plugged RCA video signal cable into HU rear view camera (per Pioneer instructions) an have camera on in settings.
since camera is on in settings maybe it's confussed when the 2nd voltage signal comes in from the reverse green wire? I haven't tryed but maybe camera needs to be off in settings then only come on w/ reverse green wires signal?

weird there's no place to connect power on video cables pigtail at HU.

the RCA signal cables pig tail is unconnected at HU however I did touch it to the HU green wire, this w/ engine running an *****. In reverse.still no video feed.

the AVIC doe's have a green (Ithink ) reverse wire however it's used for the NAV connected to the parking brake switch (the red white of rp4gm11) so I can't program the NAV unless the emergency brake is depressed.

Please advise.
when driving a van you never look out the back windows I've got curtains an perorated window film so peeking tom can't look in so you use the side mirrors. I'm not used to the spare tire attached to door so a camera would be nice to see stuff back there.
thanks for advise

The reason for that is power comes from the reverse bulb wire and not all cars have OEM reverse camera.

Does the red wire coming out of the yellow RCA have power when car is reverse?

My old Pioneer has the camera power option of activating with Positive or Negative. It also has the option of activating the camera when not in reverse; maybe that is the on/off option you have as well.

what my research has unveiled is if the camera's video feed isn't coming on as expected like when *****. is shifted to reverse then I need to check what the current settings are adjusted to then change to another option. this is a PITA BC when camera is connected incorrectly or configured incorrectly I lose all display I get a error message display is being reservsed.

it took me quite awhile to figure how to restore the display. I thought I ruined the AVIC anyway I was able to restore the display changed one setting I think it was battery polarity, shifted to reverse same crape differnt day display is being reversed (no display an more stress).

I'll look again at all the camera options IIRC where camera on/off battery polarity pos neg. and report back.
I do have a elcheapo aduiovox monitor I used on my previous tow vehical so I may post up on it's set-up.
just don't want this old 2009 AVIC to take a dump messing around w/ a rear camera feed.

additionaly the Pioneer lite green wire I believe is being used for the NAV it's the parking brake switch, the parking brake must be depressed in order for NAV to allow me to enter an address. not sure if this lite green wire has 2 functons. also I believe there is an optional 3 wired switch that can be connected to the parking brake for the NAV then use the lite green wire for camera.thanks
