Different Speakers on each door

Hi

I have a friend who is a car audio dealer, who offered to give me 4 different component speakers(only 1 piece of each). He has used the other pieces as display pieces. I would like to know if it would be okay for me to use these speakers if I power them up from a 4 channel amp.

All the speakers are made by the same company but belong to differnt quality segments.(some are expensive and some a little cheaper)

All the speakers are of about the 100 watts rms range. So would it if be okay for me to use a 120 watt per channel amplifier

Thanks

I'm not buying them, He is giving them for free. Can you please explain as to what exactly would be the problem in doing so. He said it will not be a problem at all, but the issue is I dont trust him:).

At the same time these speakers are really good ones by themselves. They are Hertz speakers. The Mille, HIEnergy, Energy and Space range.

Well I'll try that soon. but I'm still interested to know if there are any technical reasons as to why I should not be using these 4 speakers. Can anyone please help with this. Cos I know its not something normally done. But I'd like to know if this is possible and if not why.

There four diff sets, meaning four diff freq ranges, four diff sensitivities (correct word?)...if you dont mind it being a little on the raggdy side, and not done right and just want sound go for it.

Thanks Chaos,

But isnt it common to have different sets of speakers in the front and the back. Like installers generally give a component in the front and a coax in the rear. Does the problem you mentioned occur in this case as well.

somehow I get the feeling that you don't know the definition of the word "friend"

Well, we are not that close friends. We just know each other. He is giving the speakers to me for free just cos he wants to clear his store of old stuff.

Thanks Chaos,

Well if you got a set for the front and a set for the rear id give it a shot but not all four different. Its really my "opinion" the fact is though theyd play diff frequencies diff sensitivities. Im sure you could find a middle ground where theyll all play but nothing to set the sensitivities one may be way louder then another at different volumes. Only one way to find out if it will be a big deal. I myself wouldnt do it. But like i said its also my "opinion" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
