has anyone had any heard a sound system that used a Mcintosh amplifier in it? or does any one have any opions on that brand of amplifier. i checked out the specs and i am amazed but i need to know if any one has heard it or knows of a site i can buy it from.

Big time $$$$. Sound great. Very stable not to mention the fact they look great. But I don't know if you can buy them on the web. They are a high dollar SQ amplifier if there is such a thing as an SQ amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When u say Mcintosh, you say two things: audiophile and $$$$$!!!!! If that's you, there are a small handful of other amplifiers you may want to consider, my audiophile-geek friend tells me: Brax, Tube driver, and a slight notch below, the newer Linear Power amps. Or, if you're extremely lucky, you'll track down a hand-made 70's Bedini-Strellioff amp, the best ever made in my book.
