Did I screw up on this?

haha, well thats the advantage of a cheap setup I suppose when I throw that shit in I'll see how it goes. Thanks for the responses.

i said to run one coil per channel i didnt mention bridging ay thing
yeah hes right about how you should wire it for the stability and heat of the amp. I dont know if you will be happy with the power output or if it will be enough for what subs you have. A nice 1ohm stable amp would treat you very well if you can come across one for a good price while your using that amp

but just fyi since yours talking about doing it I bridged a 4ohm dvc mtx 9500 to an old mtx 2-channel amp and that thing made some serious power but made some serious heat along with it. I never had a problem with the amp overheating or turning off with about 30 minutes of drive time full tilt but **** you could cook an egg on the chrome after a good drive. Only used it that way for a week or 2 max in an emergency need bass while I dont have my amp situation so I dont know how long it might have lasted like that but Ive also heard the older mtx amps were decent amps

The amp will overheat and turn off....hopefully. Plus most 4ch amps are not class d and are not goint to be as efficent. Exchange the amp if u can and get the proper one. One ohm stable prefferably like mentioned above or u will need to wire the subs in a series then paraelle to get back to just 4 ohms.

well sounds like I have to wire each coil individually for now, won't have the umph I want but oh well. While running that a 1 ohm amp? thanks again for the help guys

1 coil per channel will be fine, make sure the crossovers on the amp are off or set all the way down hopefully you can turn them off, if it happens to have a subsonic you want to set that around 20, lower will allow lower frequencies to play on the sub which may bottom it out, but unlikely with the kinda power you're running. If any of the subs don't move as much as the other check for loose wires and the polarity as the coils could be wired opposite of each other on the sub that is having issues.

don't bridge the amp and try to run 2 ohms, you will easily burn up the transistors as they will not be able to handle the current, and the amp is a class D, I don't even have to check, almost all cheap amps are, class a and b amps have efficiencies less than 60% and are ideal for SQ, mids and tweeters.

well, its actually an A/B not D. not sure which I want in this case but the individual is what I'm going with unless I get a new amp before installing it
