Did I just blow up my amplifier?

I was removing a amplifier from my set up. The positive and negative 12v input leads were still connected to the amp on one end and disconnected from the power source and ground on the other. The disconnected positive and negative touched and I heard a pop. Did I ruin my amp? I am planning to sell it and didn't want to if I ruined it. Thanks

  1. Not right now
Test it. Setup a multimeter and test it. Outside a car, start the car and then connect inputs outputs to the amp. Outputs is the multimeter. Volts. Inputs is the plus lead to the battery terminal. Use the cables you have. Buy new ones if you have to. Use a ring connector on one end of the cable, then a proper connector to the input amp. Test the volts to the output or the amp should turn on. Well I got it from a video. Watch all kinds of video. This came from a NPN transistor. He was testing a bipolar NPN transistor. Same voltage idea.
