Was goin down the street bumpin BME Click and suddenly my sub just started to quiet down and stopped playing all together and now it wont come back on. It's an Fi Q 12" in a 1.2cu ft. sealed box runnin off a Kicker 06ZX1000.1 1000 RMS @ 2ohms. I did smell a burnt plastic like smell, so i turned the system off.

im lookin at the sub now and it doesnt look any different then from when i got it back in march. the coil looks fine its not burnt or out of whack. but where i plug the wires in theres little brown like spots at the tippy top.

check your tinsels real good BME click has low tones, your sub must have been throwing for all its worth.

push on the cone. then check it with a dmm.

use the DMM to test it... and sorry to Grimreper, but... YES, you can repair it, or get it repaired through FI, im sure they'd let you send it in to be fixed.
