Did I blow my amp?

Long story short, my amp for my door speakers, started to sound funny one of them, made a popping noise, so I decided to check the wiring to the amp. When i went into the trunk, both the power and ground cables came lose, fairly easily, so without thinking I tried to put them back in, but I think what happened was the power cable touched the ground cable while the power cable was touching the amp, so there was this huge spark, thats when I decided to disconnect the power. Anyways after its all back in I try it and get no sound, no light on the amp, so I check the fuse and it looks good so I'm guessing I blew the amp completely?

Did you replace the fuses? Check if they were blown?

open it and see if there is any burn spots. and **** good way to blow an amp, be carefull with that shit, its electricity for ****s sake

ya I checked, the fuse looks clean, theres no break or discolouration. But if I open it up and everything looks good, then whats the problem?

did you check ALL fuses? amp fuses and power wire fuse

No, I just checked the one near the battery, Ill check my distribution block, btw what would a broken fuse look like there, the same as the one in the amp, the middle metal being broken in the middle?

Yes, the metal in the middle will be burned or fractured if the fuse is popped.

Check distro fuse and your fuses on your amp.

try testing the amp at the battery so you cant make sure your getting a good direct connection

If all the fuses are good, then yes, the amp might be toast given your explanation of events (positive+negative contact, sparks, etc). Does the amp smell burnt or bitter smokey?

I know im getting a good connection cause my sub still pounds, doesn't really smell burnt, but I guess Ill have to find a new one. Dont really want to open it up cause then how do I take care of the power cable thats sticking out?

Simple, take the **** screws out the back plate and the plate comes off and you got a look see, and if anything looks discolored or brown in any way, then you can either fix it or depending on how good the amp is, you can still sell it and get a monies worth for it.

Also those little round things, forgot what they are called, but if they are popped up then its bad
