Diamond HP15+Almani combo - need advice

Hello I'm a bit new here but hope I can get some helpful advice & opinions;

A friend of mine used to build sound systems and compete a while back. He's trying to get rid of his old system which consists of a Diamond HP15, Almani CA-2600 D, and a nice custom box that can be switched between open/closed. The Diamond HP15 is around six years old, but was only used for two months. He bought it up in Wisconsin. I checked it out this morning and it looks pretty nice and has a kevlar cone. He says it runs at 650 continuous and 2k peak.

The Almani is barely used as well and was bought only a few years ago. He's willing to part with both as well as the cap he used for $500. I have my own deck as well.

The only thing that really bothers me is that the sub is so old. Other than that, does this seem like a decent deal or a rip off?

Any help is appreciated!

cant go wrong with that sub as long as its in good condition id say jump on the sub. dont know the amp but that sub can handle 2k rms daily. i have 1500 rms to my 12s each, i will be selling my 12s asap as i got two brand new d9 12s waiting to be installed. after looking at that amp id say just try to buy the sub doesnt look like that will be enough power and looks like its a junk amp

my comps in my doors are from 99, and im getting another set. one woofer went out from over powering though. :/ my subs are two diamond audio macdaddys from 2002, and theyre in great condition. its a risk to use older equipment, but many cases older stuff can outperform a companies newer products as they increase profit margins and decrease quality. and im only 18, i just prefer the build of old diamond equipment.

Thanks for the replies!

The price was for everything listed not only the sub. Does $300 for the sub and box sound right? Any suggestions for a good paired amp?
