Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Ryan, and I joined here because I enjoy car audio (what better reason to join a website called caraudio.com huh?).

I'm relatively new to car audio, well, competition car audio that is. I've had about 15 different systems over the four (4) years since I discovered the magical items called "subwoofers" that make your car shake. I enjoy changing systems around and playing with stuff, which is all part of the learning process I guess.

I look forward to meeting you all, and hopefully you can give me some pointers on how to, well, get loud!

I see you have an 18" AA Havoc, have you tried any of the Chaos stuff? I recently purchased a couple of AA Chaos 18s that are just now breaking in, and they really don't seem to be capable of doing decent numbers. I was aiming for low 150s but these don't seem like they'd be able to hit a 145 easy (without a ridiculously tuned box), especially since they're only 800W a piece.

what amp do you have on them and whats the box specs?

I'm only pushing 600W to them right now (pretty sad I know, but it was the only amp I could afford at the time), it's an American Bass SQ945 but I can only run it at 600W max bridged although it is a 1,200W amp [it's a weird amp imo]. The box I'm not sure of the specs, by ear and looks I'm saying it's probably tuned around 35Hz and is about 10ft^3.

more power and a better box. throw something like a sundown 1500 on them and they will get moving pretty good.
