I have 1 of these subs in a ported box, and am giving it right at 500 rms. I was wondering if I could go with a 1ohm amp around 1000rms and not kill the sub? I never listen to it really cranked for a long period of time, so it wouldnt be abused.

sounds really good. thought maybe would sound a little better with some more power, but im happy with it.

I don't think power is you problem, might be your box, what is it tuned to? I prefer low tuned boxes. For 12'', I'd go for 28-33hz for good sound.

I have fed a CM3 as much as 900 watts with no issues......

Your box is about the right size ,weather its port volume is enough

is another story..About the only prefab that I know of thats made to DA

specs is made by audio enhancers,I run one on my little car's TDX and

it does well

I see audio enhancers sells their boxes at a couple of stores here. I will check them out. Whats the CM3? How much power is it supposed to handle?
