I have about $70 to $90 to spend on a single 12" sub. I'm going for SQ but I still want the car to bump. I'm just kinda putting this in to take care of the bass instead of my hollow sounding 6x9's. I have a 98 buick park avenue with a large trunk and a pioneer DEH-P3900MP head unit. Basically there are 3 subs I have come up with:
-Pioneer TS-W307D4 - Pioneer 12" 1200 Watt Subwoofer
12” DVC Subwoofer w/Dual 4 ohm ohm Voice Coils
1200 Watts Maximum Power
400 Watts Nominal Power
89dB Sensitivity
18Hz — 500Hz
-Alpine SWS-1243D - Alpine 12" Type S 900 Watt Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofer
12" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
Peak Power Handling: 900 Watts
RMS Power Handling: 300 Watts
-Kicker 07CVR124 - Kicker 12" 800 Watt 4 Ohm DVC CompVR Subwoofer
Power handling: 50-400 watts RMS (200 watts per coil)
800 watts peak power handling
Frequency response: 25-500 Hz
I'm probably leaning towards the kicker but please give me some opinions.
The box I have is a slot ported single 12. I do not know the dimensions of it but my friend had a polk audio 12 sub in it previously. This is the box I will be using.
At the moment I do not have an amp, so I will be looking for that as well. Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks!
