Diamond Audio D9?

270 shipped is a VERY good price for that sub. I would make sure you get detailed pictures to make sure its in good shape though for a price that low. D9's sound great and get reasonably loud in the process

not comparable to a W7. they dont sound natural at all. they sound very mono tone. they are inefficient and cant handle heat at all. i went through a bunch of them. one actually lasted about four months, other than that, i felt that quality control from diamond left something to be desired.

this review written buy a guy who is deaf in one ear..........

Your the guy who likes the CM3 over all other DA subs , right?

I would love to know how you had your D9 that you hated installed, perhaps

in the wrong box with the wrong amp.......???

My TDX has been pounding mu RSX for over a year an no heat issues,u need to learn to set your

amp's gains you clipping sub killer u

270 is a good price for the D9,I think I ended up paying around 250 for each of mine = If you like your music to sound good, accurate and yes the sub has been compared to the W7 woofer I reccomend you jump on it,get the right enclosure

and about 1200 watts and sit back and enjoy the ride the sub is so much to my liking sometimes I giggle while I drive - Which is how it should be.

there you are again defending your overrated speaker. ported with a d5 1200.1 on it. i can assure you that if you play it for 5+ hours straight as hard as you can play it, they wont last. the d6 is a great sounding woofer. but according to my ears the d3 sounds better than the d9. just like how the w6v2 sounds way better to me than the w7, and how i like the l5 more than the l7. you cant tell someone what their ears like. but i can tell him what an overrated piece of shit the d9 is.

who plays their subs for 5 hours at full tilt? anyways i've heard a single D9 12" ported and was very impressed, they do like the power though.
power they like, they are very inefficient. and i play my music for 5 hours straight at full tilt almost everyday of the week. they are loud, but very mono tone, not musical at all. they dont like the heat though, especially when you lay on them hard for extended periods of time.

its the most musical sub I ever heard........ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

maybe u should quit hatin because you couldent get your system sounding

up to par, maybe u r a poor installer and should go to a shop like BB

or CC for your gear dood:p:

Inefficiency is not necessarily indicative of a poor driver. There are plenty of popular subs out there that require gobs of power to make the most of their potential and get the performance that they can inarguably provide.

User after user after user after user who has direct hands-on experience with the D9 or its older brother the TDX, amazingly have just the opposite opinion of said drivers than you seem to hold.

I find it rather odd that you and you alone are that lone voice in the wilderness claiming these horrific shortcomings. Why might that be? All the reviews from various publications as well as reports directly from end users claim that the D9 is one of the most solid SQL drivers they've ever experienced. Then there is you.....just you....telling us how awful it is.

When the deck is stacked so incredibly against you perhaps it's time to lay down your cards and walk away from the table, Bri.

Have a nice day.

now THAT is the way u argue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

look at the guys who are so defensive of the tdx/d9. they both own one. they are just bitter because someone who has had their fair share of them doesnt bow down and ignore to their shortcomings. the tdx sounded ok, but it didnt sound musical, nothing like a w6v2 or a treo tsx or even a w7 for that matter. i dont mind going against the ban wagon on this topic, because its like arguing with a blind kid about what something looks like. they being the blind kid have obviously never heard anything better than a mediocre woofer. the tdx/d9 is not the end all be all, and DAT is not god.
