Why not the Germs? If not the Germs, how about SLC's? You can probably find Boston Pro's for around the same price as Hex's too.

why not the crystals? there cheaper and sound amazing.

I was going to buy the Diamond Audio Hex S600s's, when i did not know anything about car audio and i was a noob, after doing research, and reading threads on this forum and some other forum. I found out that I can spand alot less and get more than what Diamond Audio has to offer. I can pay $200+ for a pair of SLC, and get better SQ than the speakers that cost more.

No boy here, Im also a DA dealer...since they dropped the Esoteric design their amps have drastically fallin. I sell a fair amount of D3 series, but cost to performance factor takes it.

I have/had (when I get MD42) the D3 400.4 no problems here. I was thinking of upgrading with the 3 way version of this set until this thread. Now I gotta find what is the upgrade from the SLC 3-way version. BTW 3way in **** install > 2 way in decent install.
